Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East - Abu Dhabi

Qualifying report

Round 1 of the 2018 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East is underway at Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, with the qualifying sessions held this morning. 


During Qualifying 1, the session which determinate the starting grid of Race 1, Lamborghini Young Driver Axcil Jefferies set the pole position with the impressive lap time of 2’08”898 at the wheel of #11 Konrad Motorsport’s Huracán Super Trofeo. Behind him will start Christopher Zoechling (2’09”370) with #77 GDL Racing and in P3 there’s the 2017 Super Trofeo North American and World Champion Riccardo Agostini, on #7 GDL Racing (2’09”381).

In AM category, the fastest lap was set by Taylor Proto (2’10”554) with #55 FFF Racing Team and in Lamborghini Cup class the best one was Gerard Van Der Horst (2’14”464) at the wheel of #98 Van Der Horst Motorsport


Qualifying 2 saw the 17 years aged Italian newbie of the Super Trofeo series Giacomo Altoè setting the fastest lap behind the wheel of #78 Antonelli Motorsport’s Huracán: 2’10”026 the pole position for Race 2. Second place for Jack Bartholomew (2’10”331) with #5 FFF Racing Team and third place for Lamborghini Young Driver and 2018 Daytona 24H winner Rik Breukers (#7 GDL Racing).

Taylor Proto (#55 FFF Racing) set another pole position in AM class (2’10”691) as well as Gerarld van der Horst in Lamborghini Cup category (2’15”038)
