Round 3 Dubai - Qualifying sessions report

The epilogue of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East at Dubai Autodrome is started today, Friday, March 3rd, with the official Qualifying sessions 1 and 2, that determine the starting grid of Race 1 and Race 2.

The pole position in Q1 was set by championship leader Rik Breukers, with #7 GDL Racing’ Huracán; the 18 years-old Dutch Lamborghini Young Drivers Program member lowered the limit to 1’57”714, seven tenths quicker than the Indian driver Armaan Ebrahim (#24 Dilango Racing) in P2 with 1’58”407. Third position on grid for the PRO-AM standing leader Hendrik Still (#26 Konrad Motorsport), while in AM class the fastest was Teodor Myskwoski (#55 GT3 Poland) who set 1’59”196.

The starting grid for Race 2 sees again on pole position car #7 of GDL Racing, thanks to the fastest lap signed by Breukers’ teammate Axcil Jefferies (1’58”610). First row and P2 for Richard Goddard (#15 FFF Racing by ACM, 1’59”203) and in third position there’s Andrew Haryanto (#71 GDL Racing, 1’59”284), the fastest in AM class ahead Marco Antonelli (#72 Antonelli Motorsport, 1’59”410).

Race 1 is scheduled today, Friday, March 3rd, at 15:00 local time (13:00 GMT), while Race 2 will start on Saturday, March 4th at 12:30 local (10:30 GMT).
