Friday, 12th May 2017: the second round of Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe starts in Silverstone under a cloudy sky. More than 30 cars divided into 4 classes will take part in the thrilling British weekend, starting from the Free Practices sessions. 

The first session started on Friday morning at 10:40 (GMT+1): fastest lap by Giraudi (#30, Antonelli Motorsport, 2:03.370), recorded after 19 laps. Not so far from the PRO-AM Italian driver, 4 cars in less than 1 second: Cecotto (PRO, #23, Imperiale Racing, +0.278), Grenier (PRO, #17, Antonelli Motorsport, +0.565), Nemoto (PRO, #6, VS Racing, +0.596), Briche (PRO-AM, #34, MN Development, +0.696). 

The fastest AM and LB Cup drivers have been Wlaszik (#69, Dorr Motorsport, +2.374) and Van der Horst (#98, Van der Horst Motorsport, +12.047). 

In the early afternoon the cars are back on track for the FP2. After a red flag break in the middle of the session, Kisiel (PRO, #2, Leipert Motorsport, 2:21.621) clocked the best lap, followed by Spinelli (PRO, #17, Antonelli Motorsport, +0.286) and Postiglione (PRO, #23, Imperiale, 1.017). 

Fastest laps in PRO-AM, AM and LB Cup classes have been signed by Galbiati (P4, #30, Antonelli Motorsport), Wlaszik (P8, #69, Dorr Motorsport) and Van Deyzen (P28, #97, Van der Horst Motorsport). 

Qualifying session 1 and 2 are scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, May 13th, at 9:45 (GMT+1), and the drivers will push even harder since starting from this season the pole position gives one point more in the drivers' standing.
