Round 3 Dubai - Free Practice sessions report

The Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East is back again at the Dubai Autodrome, for the thrid and final round of the series. Using the 5,4 kms Grand Prix layout, the Huracán Super Trofeos started the race weekend on Thursday, March 2nd with two one-hour Free Practice sessions.

During FP1, the fastest car on track was the GDL Racing #7 driven by the PRO class championship leaders Rik Breukers and Axcil Ramar (1’59”744), which two weeks ago won both rounds here at Dubai Autodrome on the 4,3 kms International Circuit. Second position for the PRO duo formed by Carrie Schreiner and Richard Goddard (1’59”913, FFF Racing Team by ACM #15) and third position for the PRO-AM class standing leaders Hendrik Still and Paul Scheuschner, with a lap time 2’00”344 driving the #26 Konrad Motorsport car. Best lap time of the AM class for #72 Antonelli Motorsport’ Huracán Super Trofeo, with Davide Roda and Marco Antonelli behind the wheel.

In FP2 there was a leader change: the fastest lap (1’59”102) was signed by the new entry of the series Armaan Ebrahim, Indian driver protagonist of the 2016 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia, racing at Dubai with #24 Dilango Racing car together with Dilantha Malagamuwa in PRO-AM class. Behind him there are Breukers/Jefferies (1’59”268) and Schreiner/Goddard (1’59”582). In AM class, the best lap was signed once again by Antonelli/Roda, with 2’00”255.

Qualifying 1 and 2 are scheduled on Friday, March 3rd at 10:15 local time and Race 1 will start at 15:00 local time.
