The 2017 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East
is officially started from Yas Marina Circuit
The 2017 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East is officially started at Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi. On Thursday, February 9th, the Huracán Super Trofeo participating at the first round of the new series made their debut on the 5.5 kms track, with two one-hour free practice sessions.
Free Practice 1 saw the duo formed by Lamborghini Young Driver Rik Breukers and Axcil Ramar Jeffries (PRO class, GDL Racing) dominate the session with the best lap time: 2’10”573. Second position for the italian crew formed by Marco Antonelli and Davide Roda, with the Lamborghini Huracán of Antonelli Motorsport (PRO-AM class, 2’11”222) and in P3 the FFF Racing Team by ACM’ Huracán driven by the PRO class duo Bartholomew-Ghorpade.
During free Practice 2, which took place in nighttime to let the drivers get used to the illuminated track (Race 1 will be 19:00 local time), the italians Antonelli and Roda signed the fastest lap time (2’10”894) ahead of Breukers-Jeffries (2’11”309). In third position there’s the Konrad Motorsport’ Huracán with the PRO-AM crew formed by Paul Scheuschner and Hendrik Still, with 2’11”691.
After Qualifying sessions 1 and 2, scheduled on Friday, February 10th from 10:15 to 11:05 local time, Race 1 will start at 19:00. On Saturday, February 11st, Race 2 is scheduled at 16:10.
